Front Office Receptionist

About The Role

Allergic Disease & Asthma Center, P.A. is seeking a professional and organized Front Office Receptionist to join our team in Greenville, SC. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, managing day-to-day front office operations including phones, scheduling, billing, and general office support. A minimum of 3 years of medical office experience is required to be considered for this position.

Daily Responsibilities

● Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate department or provider● Schedule and reschedule patient appointments across all locations; distribute new patient questionnaires● Collect co-pays and deductibles; post payments accurately in Phreesia/ECW● Enter and update patient information, including insurance and pharmacy details● Review provider schedules two days in advance to identify and resolve missing information● Set up patient portal access and guide patients through the process● Balance daily charges and payments at the close of each business day● Check and appropriately route incoming faxes● Maintain office supply inventory list for team leader review and approval● Schedule lunch meetings with pharmaceutical representatives and manage postage fund replenishment

Additional Responsibilities

● Attach incoming correspondence to the appropriate patient records● Process and send medical records upon authorized patient request● Attend all mandatory staff meetings● Assist with additional tasks as directed by the team leader, administrator, or physician

Required Qualifications

● Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office setting (required)● High school diploma or GED● Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems● Working knowledge of insurance verification, billing processes, and Medicare● Professional appearance and strong verbal and written communication skills● Positive, courteous, flexible, and detail-oriented work style● Ability to commute to Greenville, SC 29607 (required)
