Medication to Omit

Many medications may interfere with allergy skin testing. The list provided contains medications that may need to be omitted for a few days prior to your appointment in order to obtain accurate skin test results. NEVER OMIT PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING WITH YOUR DOCTOR.
If your prescribing MD does not feel that you should omit certain medications, you should still keep your appointment. We will do a test prior to allergy testing to determine whether the medication will prevent accurate test results.
Please omit all oils, lotions, and creams from the arms and back on the day of your appointment. It is best to refrain from sun tanning and tanning beds at least 1 week prior to your appointment.
